Respect Life Committee
“Whatsoever you do to the least of My brethren, you do unto Me.” Matthew 25:40
To promote respect for every human life from conception to natural death.
To transform today’s culture of death into a culture of life.
To proclaim that human life is a precious gift from God; and that each person who receives this gift has responsibilities toward God, self and others; and that society, through its laws and social institutions, must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence
Pray for protection of all human lives.
Raise a helping hand to those in crisis pregnancies, post abortive healing, and needing elder care.
Offer a calendar of pro-life events and support community events.
Lend support to pro-life laws and lawmakers.
Increase membership of the OLR Respect Life Committee
Furnish pro-life materials and workshops on all pro-life topics.
Educate ourselves and others about Catholic teaching on pro-life issues
Get Involved: All across the Upstate, hundreds of people are courageously standing up to protect human life. The time is NOW – this is our chance to stand up for the unborn, the sick, the poor, and the most vulnerable among us! We are always looking for ways to help people engage their love for life. We are in great need for people to become more involved in our parish in pursuit of these goals. We look forward to your considering volunteering in the following areas: prayer warriors, planning pro-life events, Marches for Life, Spiritual Adoption and Baby Shower, Elder Care Workshop, and the Infant of Prague Devotion. If you wish to find out more about us, please contact us at 864-967-2713 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
